San Diego brand SK8MAFIA has talent in abundance so any time they drop a promo you are sure to get some incredible skating.
The latest video promo features riders Dan Connelly, Stephen Lawyer, Tiago Lopes, Javier Sarmiento, Jamie Palmore, Jimmy Cao, Marshall Heath, Kellen James, Tyler Surrey, and Wes Kremer however we are treated to full parts from Brandon Turner, Alex Willms, and Alexis Ramirez.
At 38 years old Brandon Turner produces an epic part showing he has still got it and that he has some new tricks in his locker. We of course witness Brandon's signature sick switch hard flips, some awesome grabs down stairs and also a crazy switch drop in off the Encinitas bank. The part also has a nostalgic intro with some photos and footage of a timeline of Brandon's skate career, going back as far as his Shorty's days.
Alex Willms part shows he is as solid as ever, annihilating as many rails in California as he can and going in big on everything. His backside lip ender on a sketchy rail covered with a side fence at the bottom is one of the craziest tricks of the video.
Alexis Ramirez closes out the video attacking stairs, ledges and rails with some tech bangers, all done with one of the cleanest styles in skateboarding today. His last four or five tricks of the part are jaw dropping, with a dope switch front crook on a rail and doubling up with a switch frontside and backside 50/50s on huge rails, popping out in the process.
The soundtrack is in true SK8MAFIA style hip hop heavy however also contains some nice soul and blues with artists such as Nina Simone and Delroy Wilson. This video was much more than a promo and one of sickest videos you will see this year.
