Skater XL, the new skateboard simulation game will soon be available on various consoles and will be the latest edition in a long line of awesome skate simulations such as EA Skate and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.
The game will feature iconic skatespots including Downtown Los Angeles as well as current skateboarding rippers such as Thiago Lemos of Primitive and Brandon Westgate of Element Skateboards and will be available on PC, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. The game can now be pre ordered for Xbox One and PS4 ahead of the release date scheduled for 7th July 2020. There has unfortunately been little or no access of any demo or samples of the game up until now and pricing for the game will be approx. $50/£40.
Like any good skateboarding game you will be able get innovative and create your own tricks throughout a wide variety of virtual cities, and will feature lots of recognisable buildings, plazas and schools. Whilst you can select to play as iconic skateboarders the games own default character will of course be customizable allowing you to design unique clothing consisting of hoodies, hats, t-shirts and skate shoes. Board control in the game will be unique in the fact that instead of trying to copy previous skateboard simulation games, board control will be tailored using both controller sticks, one for each foot.
The game will also have plenty of quality features including a wide variety of community members who can post and contribute their own crazy tricks, lines and anything else they manage to pull off. You will also be able to edit your own unique skate part and share these with fellow gamers, helping Skater XL evolve into a modern day skating experience.
It has been a long time coming but we close to the first new skate simulation games in a decade.
