It has been almost four years since Dylan Rieder sadly passed away and close friend Austyn Gillette this week did something special to honour him on what would have been his 32nd birthday. Austyn and Dylan's sister Makenna skated/ran from downtown Los Angeles to Santa Monica State Beach for Cancer Research. 100% of donations for the 19 mile journey went directly to the 'City of Hope Hospital.'
Dylan was a much loved and talented skateboarder and this lengthly journey was a fantastic way to honour him. Austyn Gillette also released limited edition, memorial t-shirts available via his clothing company 'Former' with all proceeds also going towards the charity.
Donations can still be made via The Dylan Rieder Foundation
